Morocco votes 665 million dirham for water projects in rural areas
A budget of more than 650 million dirhams was approved to finance various drinking water supply projects in the region of Tangier - Tetouan - Al Hoceima
Last week, Regional Council of Tangier - Tetouan - Al Hoceima, approved a budget of 665 million dirhams to implement a series of projects aimed at promoting the supply of drinking water to the centres and villages (douars) of the northern Moroccan region.
The National Office for Water and Electricity (ONEE) will participate in the installation of close to thirty individual connection centers in various provinces of the region, destined to supply drinking water to the cities.
This project is part of the National Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation Program (PNAEPI) 2020-2027, whose cost amounts to more than 11 million dollars, and aims to facilitate access to drinking water supply in rural areas in Morocco during the period 2022-2024.
